Opened in 1932 together with the Kamimiyori ~ Yunokami section of the Aizu Line. It was a single track bridge, made up of a Warren truss section and a plate girder section. It was built by the Yokogawa Bridge Manufacturing Co. (now Yokogawa Bridge). It was removed in 1980 when the old alignment of the Aizu Line was closed due to construction of the Ōkawa Dam, but the abutments remain in place.
Nearby is a scenic spot called "Mezamegafuchi" (目覚ガ淵), a tall cliff adjacent to the bridge. The bridge was 50 m above the river surface; in 1968 it was painted dark green.
この横河橋梁製作所（現：横河ブリッジ）製の鉄橋はは湯野上駅から会津田島駅までの線路と一緒に開かれた。橋は一つワーレントラス節と一つプレートガーダー節があるの単線の橋梁であった。大川ダムの建設おかげで会津線の舟子〜湯野上間の線路の旧整列の廃止の後、橋梁は１９８０年で削除された。橋梁の削除されたことが、橋台の存在まだする。
最寄りで「目覚ガ淵」という景勝地がある、これは橋梁に隣接の高い崖である。橋梁は川の上５０mであった、１９６８年で濃い緑色塗りであった。
