Timeline - タイムライン

  1927.11.1 - opened together with the Nishi-Wakamatsu ~ Kamimiyori Yagan'u Line. 駅は西若松駅から上三寄駅までの野岩羽線と一緒に開かれた。
  by 1942年まで - Yagan'u Line merged with Aizu Line (Aizu-Wakamatsu ~ Aizu-Miyashita). 野岩羽線は会津若松から会津宮下までの会津線と合併された。
  1971.8.29 - ticket window closed; only operations personnel stationed. 切符売り場は閉店された、運用担当者だけが雇用された。
  1987.7.16 - Aizu Line taken over by third-sector operator Aizu Railway; station renamed Ashinomaki Onsen Station. 会津線は第三セクターの会津鉄道に受け継がれた；駅は「芦ノ牧温泉駅」に改称された。

Description - 解説

Two tracks, two side platforms; total three freight sidings. Immediately adjacent to the station were soybean fields.

Between here and Funako the grade is 25‰, rising towards Funako. As a result, a single C11 could pull a train of at most 180 t; heavier trains added a second C11 as a helper (unsure yet, but I believe they were attached here and removed at Yunokami, returning light).

相対式ホームのある二つの本線と側線の三つのある駅であった。駅のすぐ隣で大豆畑がある。

ここと舟子間の勾配は舟子に向かって上昇して25‰である。結果的に単一のC１１は高々１８０tの列車を牽引できた。より重い列車に補助機関車は付けられた。よくわかりませんが補助機関車はここで付けられたと湯野上駅で外されたと思います。

Passenger services - 旅客の勤め

All Aizu Line trains stopped here, including the "Aizu"/"Inawashiro" express trains. In 1971, the downbound "Oze Flower" did not stop here, and the upbound trip stopped only if necessary.

会津線に走っての全の列車はこの駅で止まった、ローカル列車と「あいづ／いなわしろ」号急行列車の両方を含む。１９７１年で上りの急行「尾瀬フラワー」はここで必要に応じて止まったが、下りのは止まなかった。

Freight services - 貨物の勤め

Outbound freight was made up of the soybeans, persimmons and rice grown in the area. The Down Freight 1 track and the Up freight tracks were removed some time after 1971 - freight service was discontinued before 1974, probably in August 1971. The presence of two freight tracks on the downbound side suggests that incoming goods for local use in the general area were delivered here and distributed from here by truck.

ここから出発された貨物は地域で栽培されたの米穀と大豆と柿であった。下貨１線と上貨線は１９７１年後しばらくして削除された。１９７４年の前で、多分１９７１年８月で貨物の勤めは廃止された。下り側で貨物用側線の二本の存在は領域にて使用されての入荷貨物がここに到着から自動車によっての分配することを示唆している。
